i have a spot on my spine that is very sore and along my right side from my back to my stomach my skin is painful to touch on the surface. no rashes or signs of other symptom. a little dizzy.

Checkup: Not sure what the spot is due to.  The peripheral nerves run in a linear pattern along the back. The area you are describing corresponds to the Thoraic or mid back vertebra. The dizzy part is most concerning. Could be getting shingles, herniated disc.  vestibular involvement due to a URI. See a Doctor for checkup.

i have a 6 inch high by 4 inch wide non-itchy rash evenly spread along the base of the spine. what could the be?

Hard to say...: Without more information, it's really difficult to say for certain.  Usually things like shingles or herpes have fluid filled bumps.  Mild eczema doesn't have to be itchy, it can just tingle or feel irritated.  If you're not having fever, it's not painful, and you're feeling well otherwise, its okay to wait a few days before seeing the doctor, but you should get it checked if it doesn't go away.

Not Synthroid (thyroxine): Hi. Synthroid (levothyroxine) is thyroid hormone, and is not an anti-inflammatory. Do you mean hydrocortisone? Hydrocortisone (and drugs like it: prednisone, triamcinolone, etc) are anti-inflammatory glucocorticoids, and can be used in a variety of types of arthritis. There are other great treatments for psoriatic arthritis if that's what this is, but not Synthroid! It's used to treat hypothyroid.

To vague for dx: There are far too many conditions or agents that could be linked to this set of symptoms. Rashes usually require eityher great detail in their description or a direct exam to diagnose.  You may need to see a doc if the problem doesn't self heal over a day or two.

i get hsv outbreaks @ the base of my spine & begining inside of the buttocks. now i have a rash & its going on over a month what can it be? is it hsv?

Need an exam: It's really hard to know what's wrong without seeing what you are talking about. I'd recommend a trip to the gyn doc or dermatologist for a good exam. This could be herpes, but it's unlikely given the duration (HSV outbreaks usually resolve within a week or so).

Need Imaging Study: You may need to rule out any process occurring at the spinal level, such as a herniated disc. These are less clear to diagnose if they are at the thoracic level. An MRI of the thoracic and lumbar spine might be useful if discussed and approved by you family physician.

Skin infection: Your red and sore rash could be a skin infection. Please kindly see your primary care physician to get evaluated and treated. If it's an infection then it would need to be treated with antibiotic topically or orally. I hope this helps.

Neuropathy: This sounds like neuropathic pain. I would discuss this with your doctor, there are medications that one can take to help alleviate this discomfort so that we can try to take the edge off of his discomfort in his legs. Please be well and follow up closely at the advice of your primary care physician.
