Colpo: The cells are appearing atypical. So there is suspicion that there could be precancerous or cancerous cells present. Depending on your HPV status your doc most likely will want you to do a colposcopy.

Accepted Answer

Not much: Unless otherwise noted, these are benign cells in the endocervix that have undergone a change that's often related to HPV but is of no great consequence. Continue following the recommended protocols. If there are other abnormalities on the smear, get them addressed.

Follow your doctor: You had the 'same' results six months after a normal pap smear.  Sometimes there will be cells on a pap test that are different in ways that are not typical and do not represent disease. Given they do not follow the typical description of disease they should just be acknowledged but then the routine pap testing schedule for follow up will be the next best step. You have nothing here to worry about.

Donot worry : Just means slight inflammation,if you have no spotting after sexual intercourse or any other vaginal discharge ,Donot worry

It is a very unusual: Pap smear report. I don't believe this one finding indicates that cancer is certainly present ... but it definitely needs clarification and raises suspicion.  Please discuss with your performing physician/gynecologist. At a minimum, I believe the smear should be repeated and consideration given to additional diagnostic testing. Good wishes.

Cervical Cancer: You have a high risk cervical lesion that may be or could be cancer. You must do the next step which is colposcopy to treat the lesions and to prevent cancer. You must go back to the Gynecologist and do the next step urgently.

Normal pap: It shows that you dont have a bacterial infection and the amount of cells are within expected limits

Abnormal Pap: It surely sounds like your physician is doing everything right. You have no progress to worse disease.

The only other option is to have a hysterectomy.  If you are done having children and are done worrying about your cervix then having a conversation about hysterectomy seems like a logical next step.

A warning: Women with cells that have certain abnormal appearances are much more likely to develop cancer of the cervix or nearby structures.  If the area with the cells can be found and removed before it turns cancerous, a life has likely been saved.  Before pap smears, cancer of the cervix was a horribly common scourge of young women, as it still is in the poor nations.
