Pap results indicate "rare metaplastic cells identified" what is the significance of this?

Not much: Unless otherwise noted, these are benign cells in the endocervix that have undergone a change that's often related to HPV but is of no great consequence. Continue following the recommended protocols. If there are other abnormalities on the smear, get them addressed.
