Get it seen: I suspect it'll turn out to be a keratoacanthoma but any growth that you have to ask about like this needs to be seen by your primary care physician.

Bloody off: It sounds as if you are in good hands. An ulcerated or bleeding mole is not normal and should be removed or biopsied to rule out an underlying skin cancer such as melanoma.

Irritation: TCA can definitely cause irritation to the skin and any growths that it comes in contact with.

See below: You may watch and wait. If the mole doubles in size, becomes irregular in size, shape or color, bleeds, ulcerates or develops a nodule, see a doctor.

i have a rapidly enlarging, painful red mole on my shoulder. i've never had this change in any other cherry angiomas. could it be cancerous?

Suspicious moles : The color,  borders,  appearance and size of a skin lesion are most important determinants to assess potential for a cancerous lesion. An experienced physician will do skin biopsy if the lesion appears worrisome. Without actually looking at it it is hard to say if you need biopsy or not. Therefore get it checked out.

had spitz nevi removed due togrowing rapidly. biopsy required deeper excision. now long mole has grown on top of scar n several smaller moles around.

Nevi: I think it is very important you recheck with the dermatologist about the biopsy report and you too must report your new nevi to the dematologist who performed the biopsy  as soon as possible.

Genetics: Usually this is an inherited trait and is a benign condition but you should be evaluated by a physician. There are a few conditions such as dysplastic nevi syndrome (that's the old name) now called the Familial Atypical Multiple Mole and Melanoma (FAMMM) that may be associated with a higher risk of melanoma. This may require biopsy of unusual appearing moles.

Nice picture: Yes, moles can appear spontaneously or can be caused by exposure to sunlight. If they are painful, look unusual or change color, shape, or size you will want to get them examined by your doctor or see a dermatologist who will biopsy them.

Moles on face: You can have your moles evaluated especially if you have noticed  recent growth, irregularity or bleeding.

Normal: These can represent seborrheic keratosis which are found commonly on the trunk. They appear after age 35 and may have a genetic component. They are removable if they disturb you cosmetically, .
