Need more info: A picture is worth a thousand words.   Brown spots could be many things, most of which are not serious.  They could be sun damaged area called solar lintigo, If they are flat and many of them. . If raised or have a "stuck on" appearance, then they could be a benign growth called a seborrheic dermatitis.  

These should be checked by your family doctor or dermatologist to make sure is not serious

In order to identify the lesions and give a diagnosis, see your local dermatologist.

Possible: Usually cellulitis is a diffuse redness with warmth and pain and some swelling. If it's only few spots of red and brown its unlikely.

Need more info : Its hard to say much without more history and physical exam. If he recently had chicken pox vaccine, this could be a mild reaction, which often does not have that classic chicken pox vesicular look.  Has she had any exposures? Recent fever?  Travel?  Immunization status?  Daycare? We might be able to help in a Prime visit with detailed photos.

2 mos is long time: Normal blood clotting doesn&#x27;t mean you can&#x27;t injure your skin and develop bruising. However, 2 months is a long time for something like that to heal. Skin infections can happen after shaving, but again, should not take 2 months to heal. A medical exam will help determine the cause and any needed treatment.

Could be: Eczema or just dry skin. You don't say what you have tried. You could try both a moisturizing lotion and a Hydrocortisone cream and see if it helps.!if not or if it spreads you might need to see a doc.

Non- specific: Itch? Pain? Duration? Size? Nature of surface?  Perhaps an exam will lead to a definition. Probably needs observation of behavior over a few weeks to have a chance at identification. If it goes away you don't care what it was.

?bug bites: Lasting more than a few weeks suggests they are not viral. More likely causes (based on duration) would suggest eczema or insect bites (fleas or bedbugs). Would need to know more history and  appearance to be more specific,
