i had a root canal a month ago due to an abscess that the dentist said was cleared. the tooth still hurts. i had an angio a week ago and have complicated with a radial artery thrombosis and am on aspirin. is it safe to have dental procedures so soon?

Seek advice fm. dent: Since you are under the care of your dentist, he/she is the best person to advise you about dental work. Since you already have had a root canal done one month back, I doubt that your dentist is going to do any other dental work. But you can ask for further advice about the dental pain, by making a phone call to the dentist.

what is chronic thrombosis of radial artery. how is it treated?

Blockage: It means there is a blood clot in the radial artery and it has been there for a while. Generally doesn't need treatment if you're not having any hand pain or non-healing wounds of the fingers. If you do, then a bypass may be required. More importantly is the cause of the clot in the first place. You should have a workup for clot that may have traveled from elsewhere or a clotting disorder. See pcp.

Hmmm...: Thrombosis of the radial artery by itself doesn't cause pain, but poor circulation to the hand and fingers as a result can. In those cases pain medicine is not typically enough and you may need to consider reconstructive surgery to the radial artery, most commonly in the form of a bypass. You should see a board certified vascular or hand surgeon to discuss further.

Family practice. : There is a chance but if it hasn't already it usually doesn't. It gets stuck and other blood vessels compensate. You need to be on blood thinners to prevent other clots for at lease a year.

Radial artery: Not clear exactly what is the problem. Radial artery thrombosis is an unusual cause of symptoms but may be an indicator of other arterial or heart issues.  If you are not symptomatic related to the radial artery i would see no need for bypass.

Possibly: Depends on the degree. Antithrombotic therapy available. Like anything else the risks need to be considered. Like blocked artery in heart, angiopplastic works most of the time.

Well: I'm not familiar with "pasadene" but arcoxia is a medicine similar to advil or aleve (naproxen). It is a non-steroidal anti inflammatory.

Pallor: Pallor comes from the word pale, and means exactly that - your skin gets very white and pale, like there is no blood flow to it, what is what you need to worry about in the event of thrombosis. No pulse means you can't feel your heart beat in that particular artery - the radial one is the pulse you feel at your wrist on the thumb side.

Restore Circulation: You will get no relief until circulation is restored. Are you hypercoaguable?  Stent?  Anti coagulation meds?
