Good: Quest has been around a long time and they seem to be pretty reliable.  If you have a question about some test they have done, ask your doctor if it can be repeated elsewhere as a quality control measure.

quest's calc of free-t is half all others. quest: it figures 2 binding sites per shbg "dimer" & they measure shbg dimers. apparently others don't. huh?

Free T: Free t is a calculated value and different laboratories have differing normal range. You can call the lab in question and ask to speak with the pathologist in charge to answer questions about their methods.

is the quest for gluten free foods just a fad?

Probably yes: Gluten-sensitive enteropathy (celiac disease) is much less common than gluten intolerance. Like lactose intolerance, caffeine intolerance, sorbitol intolerance (with regard to needing to restrict each respective substance), people who are gluten intolerant do better to avoid gluten-containing foods. Only about 10% of the population are gluten intolerant. Add gluten back to diet & see how you feel.

How low?: Likely no significan difference. Any doubt, get follow up test.

Slight differences: When labs use different methods for testing, the results are slightly different.  Each lab provides its normal ranges and that should be used as a guide. Quest is accredited by the american college of pathologists and that requires maintaining good testing practices.

rbc done in drs lab says lower than 4.2 is low i am 4.08 i usually have done at quest where 3.8 is cutoff so am i low or not?

Maybe.: Low is not really determined by the lab as you can see.  What is your normal?  If you have had rbc measured before and it has been about 4.08 then it seems your normal is about 4.08.  Since you may be a menstruating female, your numbers may be a bit on the low side from time to time.

i was ordered labs however i dont have a quest lab within 100 miles of my location. what am i supposed to do now with this order?

: Best would be to inquire at the local office/ urgent care/ inpatient facility, find out about their conditions to get labs done and then reconcile with the doc who ordered the tests.

hi, i am 21 and am taking quest vitamins super once a day. i lift weights 3-4 times a week, is it ok to keep taking these on a regular basis(daily)?

Yes: Unless u have some contraindication to taking a once a day vitamin, i think it is perfectly fine.

im finishing up the last quest go to sleep i wake up and it feels like someone hit me in my head with a hammer. what do i do? and what does that mean?

Vague: Duration, severity and frequency are important here.  Do you suffer with these symptoms every morning?  I would call your dr. To help.
