Doctor can check: It's not easy to see and describe one's own tonsils. Throat and tonsil symptoms can be from flu or cold viruses, strep throat, EBV virus, etc... Doctors have 5-minute tests for strep throat (antibiotics are needed to treat strep). Doctors also have a quick test for Flu A and B. Mono is caused by the EBV virus and can cause big tonsils. One's primary care doctor can examine the throat.

Dr. can check throat: Throat symptoms can be from strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. One usually sees her doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep). Regardless of whether there are tonsils are not, the same germs can start infections.

Exudate: and lymph node enlargement is suggestive of an infectious process, likely viral. A throat culture could help you sort this out.   Access is also a remote possibility, and would require immediate evaluation!

Swollen tonsil: Yes, could be a foreign body reaction. But anytime there is just one swollen tonsil should be checked to make sure not a tumor or something like lymphoma. Go see an ent.

Acute tonsillitis : Tonsils are like sponges in the back of the throat. Just like sponges they have pockets where things can accumulate. Sometimes this is bacteria. The bleeding is caused by little infections pushing out debris like abscesses rupturing. It is important to check to see if it is a strep infection as this can effect your skin, heart and kidneys.

Infection: From your description it sounds like you have a right tonsillar infection with an area that is plugged with a tonsilith. The swelling in the back of your neck is likely reactive lymphadenopathy. Check with your doctor, you may need an antibiotic. In the meantime keep your mouth clean and gargle with an antiseptic or a salt solution.
