i have had pus-filled bumps on my bikini area for about 3 weeks. my dr. said it is folliculitis but it has not gone away. is this normal?

Could be: Folliculitis is common in the groin/bikini area, especially with shaving.  At times, antibiotics may be needed to help resolve the issue.  If they continue, seek medical help again, and tell the dr. They are not gone.  Best wishes.

i keep getting these pus filled bumps that appear on my pubic area. some turn white, some don't and they burst and drain pus and blood. what is wrong?

Pustules: I wonder if you might have MRSA, which is a type if infection that can be a little tricky to get rid of.    You would need antibiotics from a physician to properly treat that.     Another thing that could be going on is folliculitis, which is an infected hair follicle often from shaving.   If you do shave, start shaving with the direction of the hair growth instead of against it.

bump just below my knee causing pain the area is swollen and red with a yellow centre which looks pus filled. i tried squeezing and nothing came out.

Skin infection: The signs of redness and swelling with pus are indicative of infection. It would be important to get proper treatment for that -so you should show it to a doctor or take photos and ask a Health Tap doc. If it is extensive, you might need antibiotics. It would be important to determine if any other structures are involved like the bursa over the knee area. Local therapy such as bacitracin may help.

TRY AN ACNE WASH AND APPLY A BENZOYL PEROXIDE LOTION OR CEAM TWICE DAILY.

Time for examination: This certainly sounds like a bacterial infection: either impetigo or infected folliculitis. In either case, the lesions must be cultured and you will need oral and topical antibiotics.

If : If the area is infected you will need antibiotics, and possibly a procedure called an I&D (incision and drainage). Otherwise, you could try warm compresses to the area three times a day, if it drains on its own, apply an antibacterial ointment to the area twice a day and monitor. If it does not improve see your doctor.
