Probably no cause : Unless you had a positive test for a sexually transmitted microorganism, ( by culture, PCR  or other reliable method) you probably have no cause for alarm. A Gram stain test of a Pap smear sample is not a standard screening test for sexually transmitted infections; it is rarely used for that purpose. Gonorrhea may be one exception.

That's normal: endocervical cells is what they look at on a pap smear.  If it was otherwise normal, then you're probably fine.

Maybe benign and overcall: It is possible that the cells are reactive and they were over called as worrisome for cancer but in fact are completely normal this would explain the findings. You should have me look at the pap smear i will give you the right answer.

hello, i had a pap smear test done in sept 019 and it indicated i have a low grade intraepithelial lession present. i am 30years and scared i might have a precancerous cell present and wondering how to go about it. i also noticed a wart on my genital?

Gynecologist: You need to see your gynecologist, have a repeat PAP and follow your doctor's advice for follow-up care.
Get HPV vaccine to prevent infection with other strains of HPV.

got pap smear test results & it came back negative for pre cancer & cancerous cells which is great. but i did see that it said areas of partially obscuring inflammatory exudate are present is this concerning? had a d&c march 9th from miscarriage?

: Inflammation on Pap smear is so common it can be considered a normal finding. In some cases it can indicate cervicitis and/or various infections, including STDs. If at STD risk, it's a good idea to be tested. Either way, ask your gynecologist:  what she observed (or didn't observe) on your cervix when collecting the pap specimen is the most important thing in judging these issues.

how often should i get a pap smear test?

Depends: age, nl pap: According to the american college of ob/gyne, pap smears should begin at age 21, then every 2 yrs ages 21-29. Women 30 and older, if 3 normal yearly paps, can have pap every 3 years. Hiv+ women need pap twice in first year after diagnosis and then yearly.An abnormal result will change how often a pap is recommended. Notify doctor sooner if discharge, bleeding (esp after sex), or pain.

Yes: As long as your are 21 or older, yes you need a pap smear to look for cervical cancer or abnormal cells in the cervix.
