Serious: Numerous abdominal problems can radiate  to upper back or shoulder.  Most notable for the left side would be kidney infection and ovary(twisted or infected) and ectopic pregnancy.  You need to see a doctor soon--like tonight

Time: A pulled muscle is a tearing of some of the fibers of that muscle, which causes swelling, then pain.  It takes awhile for the swelling to resolve, but things that help include resting the area, ice packs periodically and non-steroidal drugs like ibuprofen.  Depending on how bad the injury is, the length of time to resolve can last from days to weeks.

mult possibilities: So there are many causes of the symptoms you are describing. Stomach weakness could be from something you have eaten or from irritable bowel. It is hard to tell just based upon the info you have provided. But maintaining a regular diet and healthy activity/exercise can help with this. This could also help with any back strain. But 1st rest until pain better. But if continues should see an md.

my friend has a pain like a muscle strain in his stomach. it doesn't goes away. it's in the upper right side. he has bloating too. antidepressants help with the bloating but the pain still there. he can't stretch his arms back without pain?

: You should rule out Gall bladder disease as the pain is in right upper quadrant and he has bloating. He /she should see a gastroenterologist for further evaluation. An ultrasound of upper abdomen can help rule out GB disease.

when laying on my stomach, i have a mild burning/pain in my ribs below my pectorals. it does not hurt when standing. possible muscle strain?

Likely: Either muscular in origin or possibly costochondritis ( inflammation where the rib attaches to the breast bone).  Do u sleep w/ur arms out to the side and hands over head?  If so, favor muscular.

Hydration: You should give her fluids in the form of juice, water, flat carbonated drinks so that she is well hydrated. The muscle aches will subside on its own.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

i'm on flexeril for a muscle strain. i have a stomach bug tonight, is it safe to take zofran (ondansetron) while on the muscle relaxer? i can't stop throwing up!

Yes.: Any side effects will,be minimized by your condition. I assume you are not pregnant.

Nerve root irritatio: Anxiety will aggravate the pain symptoms but usually not the cause of your pains.
Please make sure that you are not over exercising or lifting heavy things.  You will need to be evaluated by your family doctor 
and a specialist and physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Possible hernia: A hernia is a tear in the abdominal muscle. If you have one on your left side then it would show up as a bump in this area and might feel like a pulled muscle. Hernias need to be repaired surgically. Please have an evaluation by your medical doctor to determine what is going on and best course of treatment.
