palms of both my hands have starting itching badly for last few days. i also notice prominent veins during the attacks of itching. wat can be the caus?

Allergy: This suggests an allergic reaction to something internal or something that comes in contact with your hands. You have to be your own detective to figure out possible culprits. Benadryl(causes drowsiness) or Claritin (loratadine) helps relieve the symptoms. The prominence of hand veins during the itchy reaction is nonspecific and  doesn't appear to have any significance unless they remain swollen and tender.

Prominent veins: are of no medical significance in most cases. Veins can get larger or smaller in response to positioning, hydration status, or a variety of other factors. Hope this helps!

Yes: Exercise results in increase blood flow and heat production, and the veins automatically dilate in order to get rid of the heat, and accommodate the increased flow.  Do prominent veins in the back of the hands and up the forearm is a normal response to the exercise process.

Bulging veins: Prominent ("bulging") veins is normal and almost never a sign of a health problem. Veins tend to be more prominent toward the end of the day. This is nothing to worry about, but if you remain concerned, discuss with your personal physician.

Hand veins: Hand veins don't pulsate and hand veins are not prominent on the palmar side of the hand. These may be arterial if you are feeling pulses. You can start by getting an exam by a hand specialist and or vascular surgeon. Aneurysms of digital arteries in the hands are extremely rare.

Probably normal.: Veins can enlarge and shrink for many reasons most commonly levels of hydration, genetics, aging, sun exposure, temperature changes and even skin color being more prominent in fair skinned people.  Most commonly what you are experiencing is a normal variation but you probably should see a vein specialist for a full venous evaluation so that they could examine you and answer all of your questions.

i have very prominent veins on the top of my foot, can feel it throbbing and struggle to put any weight on my foot.

Get Evaluated by Doc: This must be evaluated by a vascular surgeon. The first step is differentiating between a superficial artery and a vein. If it is a vein, it may have become inflamed, a condition known as superficial thrombophlebitis. A full venous ultrasound would be warranted to rule out deeper clots and if that is negative, warm soaks, nsaid's, possibly antibiotics and ace wraps may be appropriate.

No: If the veins are on the top of your feet, they are of no concern unless accompanied by ulcers...If they are on the underside of your feet they need to be investigated.
