i have a trip booked with family for disneyland, but developed a bladder prolapse after 2.5 months from hysterectomy surgery with ant/post repair. i'musing sea sponge pessary and it helps, is ok to go?

Yes, enjoy trip: Frustrating to have prolapse recur so soon after surgery. Bladder prolapse is rarely dangerous unless you can't pee. If the sponge is helping, enjoy trip and see a urogynecolgist when you get back.

Go for it: Your prolapse bladder or cystocele is due to weakening of pelvic muscles, most likely due o difficult labour, some times also associated with prolapsed uterus,  yes will have moderate pain for few days and will wean off . If you have urinary symptoms like retention or incontinence , surgery will help. Good luck.

I : I am sorry that you are having to go through this.  Bladder prolapse surgery is fairly common, and most women get very good results from it.  Bladder prolapse occurs after the muscles weaken around the bladder and vagina, often after childbirth.  Please be sure you are seeing a board certified gynecologist or urologist for your surgery.  Be sure and carefully follow the post-operative instructions regarding rest and lifting, and don't return to early to your regular activities.  I am sure you will do fine, and i wish you the best.

Bulge: Most women describe a feeling like a bulge in their vagina.  If your bladder has prolapsed, you can put your finger down and feel a ball-like structure poking out between your labia.  Women also describe a pressure sensation.  It's not dangerous save for the fact that sometimes puts you at increased risk for bladder infections.  Yes it can definitely be fixed with pessary or surgery.  See your md!

Go see OB/GYN: Prior hysterectomy is a risk factor for vaginal prolapse.  Go talk to your ob/gyn and ask about options such as pessaries or surgery.
