what is the cause of  pressure behind  the ear?

EustachianTubeBlocke: Assuming that you're referring to painless pressure, it may be due to blockage of your eustachian tube which can be congested due to allergies or cold. Best way to get around this, besides time, is an allergy medication, eg antihistamine +/- decongestant. If pressure is painful, you may have otitis media or middle ear infection. We used to prescribe antibiotics but are shying away for this conditi.

Depends: This could be referral pain from your cervical spine (a misalignment??) or referral discomfort from an ear problem.  I would suggest that you make an appointment with an osteopathic physician (D.O.) and have this pain diagnosed and corrected.

Yes: Yes. If new. unlikely if not new. Try bending tips or arms out a bit.

i feel a dull pressure/ache on my left temple, behind left eye. eye feels irritated. had it for about 2 weeks. also feel pressure in left ear. i suffer from tinnitus & vertigo also, not sure if thats related. any ideas? should i go to urgent care?

: ENT evaluation is more appropriate than an urgent care visit, especially you have not seen a specialist for tinnitus and vertigo.

Sounds like you have: It sounds like you have a lesion on your mastoid process. Get this checked by your PCP or by an ENT.  Something is causing this lesion, usually a pathogen.

Bilateral: Since your symptoms seem to involve both ears, I am suspicious that you're developing blockages of your eustachian tubes. Congestion in the back of the nose is the usual cause of the blockage of these tubes which connect to the ear If you sense nasal congestion building, irrigate your nasal passages with warm salt water and/or spray a nasal decongestant spray into both nostrils to open the passage
