What is the cause of pressure behind the ear?

EustachianTubeBlocke: Assuming that you're referring to painless pressure, it may be due to blockage of your eustachian tube which can be congested due to allergies or cold. Best way to get around this, besides time, is an allergy medication, eg antihistamine +/- decongestant. If pressure is painful, you may have otitis media or middle ear infection. We used to prescribe antibiotics but are shying away for this conditi.
