i have started to take vita pearl as a prenatal vitamin. i haven't seen many reviews on it, fairly new. can anyone give their opinion on this?

It's a vitamin : It's one of the many brands of prenatal vitamins available. If you look at the ingredients you will notice all of them are almost exactly the same. Any prenatal vitamin that you enjoy taking will be fine. One is not better than another.

Yes: Prenatal vitamins contain a few vitamins that you can take too much off. Vitamin a is the biggest concern.  In addition, most vitamins contain iron which can make you constipated.

Ideally with L5-MTHF: Most prenatals are fairly similar but there's a subtle yet important difference. About 30% of people can't convert Folic Acid to its active form, L-5-MTHF, so to be on the safe side it's best to take one with that form like Prenatal Nutrients (Pure Encapsulations) , Basic Prenatal (Thorne) or Prenatal Pro (Designs For Health). These also have biotin, which is important, &amp; natural E, not synthetic.

Folic acid: Prenatal vitamins have most of the constituents of a regualr multivitamin but a higher dose of folci acid (at least 800 mcg). Folic acid is important to the fetus to make sure the neural tube develops normally.

Depends: The timing is not as important as you taking it regularly.  Compliance is criticsl   take it with food since it can make you nauseated.
