Ideally with L5-MTHF: Most prenatals are fairly similar but there's a subtle yet important difference. About 30% of people can't convert Folic Acid to its active form, L-5-MTHF, so to be on the safe side it's best to take one with that form like Prenatal Nutrients (Pure Encapsulations) , Basic Prenatal (Thorne) or Prenatal Pro (Designs For Health). These also have biotin, which is important, & natural E, not synthetic.

There are many: There are many good brands. Nature made is one. Just eating right is a good start, but you are right that prenatal vitamins are probably a good idea, because pregnant and lactating women need more of some nutrients, like calcium, vitamin b12, folate (folic acid) and iron. And getting enough folate (folic acid) (400-800 mcg daily) is important before you get pregnant, to reduce the risk of spinal cord defects in the baby.

Many good choices: There are many high-quality prenatal vitamins available but the 2 brands i most often recommend are perfect prenatal by new chapter and prenatal one by rainbow light.
