After a missed : Period.  It is better to do the home test 4-5 days after a missed period. If you you get symptoms of pregnancy before you have a chance to have a period after d;c, you may do the test 4-5 days after the start of symptoms.

D &amp; C/ Polypectomy: The D &amp; C will open the cervix temporarily to allow complete removal of the polyp. The curettage (C) or scrapping of the endometrium will not impact future conception or childbearing unless it is done far too vigorously resulting in Asherman's syndrome which results in scarring of the interior of the uterus. Post procedure recovery is very rapid and usually does not result in incompetent cervix.

just had a miscarriage on may 27th d and c on june 10 and i went to docter yesterday and took a pregnancy test and it's positive is this a new pregc?

Doubtful : It is unlikely that this is a new pregnancy just 11 days after a D&amp;C done for a miscarriage. The HCG which is what a pregnancy test detects takes a while to fall and our very sensitive pregnancy tests are good at detecting even very low levels.

i had a d and c 8 days ago. spotting has just finished. when will i get negative pregnancy test? also when should i expect menses? thanks.

It varies: It's possible that your pregnancy hormone is negative now.  Or it could be few additional weeks to go to zero.  Every woman is different that way.  When to expect menses, you'll first have to ovulate (which you may or may not know when that happens) and then have a cycle.  For some women it's as soon as 2-3 weeks, for others, 6-8 weeks.  You can get pregnant right away without having cycle.

Common: Irregular periods/spotting post misscarriage is very common. It reflects your body's efforts to recalibrate hormones back to normal levels. You are not pregnant. Normal periods typically resume between 4/6 months. You should begin using contraception immediately. Talk to your Dr about the irregular bleeding and contraception options.

Stress : Stress can affect the timing of your menses onset. Sometimes you can get a tubal pregnancy even if your tubes are tied. I would take weekly pregnancy test until your period starts. Follow up with your ob/gyn if you menses does not occur in one week. Sometimes fibroid can block the opening at your cervical os.

Failed pregnancy: Usually for failed early pregnancy such as first-trimester miscarriage. It's sometimes used as a diagnostic tool for non-pregnant women with irregular bleeding. There are other reasons as well.
