Indirectly: You stop the prednisone, it's not going to cause the inflammation that comes from lupus.  But if the lupus activates, then you would see it because there is nothing stopping the inflammation.  If the lupus is in remission, it will not come back.

Program: The goal is to mange the joint inflammation.Green tea , has catechins which reduce joint pain, add lemon (ascorbic acid).Fresh corn has beta-crytoxanthins also reduce joint pain.Fish oil supplements and ha (hyaluronic acid) help. Special compounded creams , voltaren gel, or flector patches (diclofenac) may help pain. Avoid weight-bearing exercises; do yoga, pilates, aquatic exercise and walking.

Lupus, steroids : This could be a response to lupus or  it could be due to the effect of the corticosteroids. To answer better it depends what these flares are. Are they joint, lung, heart, kidney, neurological etc? The flare is taking all of yourenergy and the body has to recover.
