can eus visualize gallbladder polyps?  what is the best imaging modality for differentiating benign vs. malignant polyp? should symptomatic polyp indicate cholecystectomy regardless of size?  what growth rate is significant for surgical referral? thx

Send us the report: Polyps in gall bladder can not be visualized with the  EUS because it is not possible to get inside the gall bladder(cystic duct is too narrow to get into).
If you can send us the report that you are concerned about we can guide you further. Removal of the GB may be indicated if there is any suspicion of a mass bigger than 5-6 mm in size.

Yes, sometimes: But only a biopsy or pathology review of the polyp can make this certain. I would advise removal of the polyps and get them examined by a pathologist..

Should remove: You should get it it removed , 40 mm polyp is pretty big , due  villous component  will have higher incidence of cancer . Please get it removed if possible by endoscopy , speak to your doctor.

Unlikely but you: Unlikely bet you are at risk. When will you have polyps these need to be pulled because some can turn into tumors. Your gastroenterologist Will explain this to you.

Close Follow up: Cholesterol polyps are generally less than 10 mm. often multiple cholesterol polyps are present. They are often associated with vesicular cholesterolosis and are thought to have no malignant potential,Risk factors. PSC, Gallstones, Age &gt;60,  Polyp &gt;6mm.polyps Surgery is rec.  for 10 mm polyps,  fast-growing polyps, sessile &amp; wide based polyps.
You should get serial US done every 6 months .

Very slowly if at al: Colon polyps can change into cancer but usually take a long time(monthst o years).Yet it is a good idea to get it removed before it gets much bigger and there is also some uncertainty as to how long it takes to become cancerous.

See doctor: Most of the nose bleeds come from the septum, I would suggest that you ask your doctor to exam your nose to ascertain the source of the bleeding. On many occasions, cauterization of the bleeding point(s) would solve the problem.

17w pregnant diagnosis w/ cervical polyp. exam today showed its color change to brown/black. biopsy sent. md felt it wasn't malignant. what else causes this?

Pregnancy : Increased vascularity and general growth and/or expansion of genitourinary organs/tissues are responsible.
