i am thinking of getting a tattoo currently i am on the following medication.
effient 1 a day temsig 50mg 1/2 day ramipril 2.5 1 a day aspirin 1/day
is it advisable to get a tattoo as i have 2 stents and have had a heart attack in the last 18 months?

No: There is always a chance of infection--with your medical history I would not suggest it.

iam taking effient because ihave a stint in my heart. it is very expensive. is there an alternative to that drug.?

Yes: Generic Plavix (clopidogrel) also called clopidigral. Make sure your drs didnt pick Effient for a specific reason.   Samples and patient assist programs may be available.

been on plavix (clopidogrel) for 6 month, drug eluting stent. is it safe to switch to effient? my cardiologist wasn't sure. will it be better for anxiety problem?

Clopidogrel: Clopidogrel (plavix) and Aspirin remain the primary treatment.  Effient may be used if clopidogrel fails or if genetic testing indicates that clopidogrel may not be effective.

Not sure.. depends.: Effient (Prasugrel) has some minor differences with competitors like Brilinta &amp; Eliquis (and aspirin), but this depends on the individual. For instance, Effient shouldn't be used if you are underweight, elderly, etc. Of the alternatives, Brilinta is preferred over Plavix as shown in a head-to-head trial. (To my knowledge, there's no other head-to-head comparison). TTYD if you want to switch 4 $$.

Bleeding: The main side effect is easy bruising and bleeding.

Prasugrel: There are multiple platelet inhibitors, you should discuss with your doctor. Effient may have advantages for you.

Yes: Plavix (clopidogrel) may be a generic substitute that just became generic-- clepedogril 75 mg.
