10-14 days: For most people, the worst side effects a medication will resolve with 10-14 days, sometimes sooner.  I usually advise patients for side effects occurring during this time period, if it is tolerable, try to hang in there, because it may resolve altogether given adequate time.  If it is intolerable, or lasts longer than this, call your doctor.

i've been taking celexa (citalopram) and tramasdol for two weeks and i've been having bad lower right back pain all day now i just used the restroom and i had bright red blood in my feces could my medicine be causing this?

Yes: The pain med is likely causing constipation. This leads to straining when you have a bowel movement which leads to  hemorrhoids. Senna with colace (docusate sodium) will help (every drug store carried this).  If this continues for more than 10 days, kindly see your primary.  Thank you.

Something else: It is not related to Celexa (citalopram). You should speak with your own doctor. There are several possible causes including med side effects.

Sometimes.: Celexa (citalopram) has anticholinergic component. It can cause urinary retention. Lower the dose and if problem persists you might need to change the medicine.

Celexa (citalopram): 10mg. is low dose. My regimen for my patients is to switch to 5mg. twice daily for one week, then taper by 2.5mg. every 3-4 days. Consult your prescribing doctor first.

See below: I looked up both drugs: neither is reported to cause bradycardia (slowing of heart rate. ) consequently, i suspect your tendency to more rapid hr with simple exercise may be a reflection of deconditioning and urge you to begin a gradual program of exercise to correct this. Walking 30 minutes 5 days a week should do the trick but start slowly, maybe 10 minutes a day.

If your problem is: Seasonal effective disorder then you are likely to have better results with a medication like wellbutrin (bupropion).  Discuss with your physician.

ANS: I would fist try elevating the head of you bed by 8 inches but putting blocks under the feet. This keeps acid from running back at night and may help. Keep us posted.

can celexa 20 mg or xanax (alprazolam) .5 mg cause hot flashes? i haven't had a panic attack since being on these meds but body temp gets high and feel spaced out.

No: Ssri's are usually helpful In Reducing hot flash symptoms. Not causing them.

Celexa dosing: Try not to miss any doses. There are some people who feel ill effects after missing even one dose of an SSRI.  "Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose."  REF:  DRUGS.COM
