Neither exactly: One can have bloating before the period, but while it can feel awful, it is not called pms.Pms is only diagnosed on emotional symptoms - irritability, tension, or unhappiness - that appear predictably before the period, reduce or disappear just before or during and remain absent until the next cycle. Pregnancy may or may not include bloating. Unpleasant gas can happen to anyone - ask your doctor.

After missed period: Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. 
Practice safe sex.

Do a test!: None of but may not - things are likely to be early pregnancy signs but the real way to find out is a test.  PMS differs for people and may include some but do a test if you think it's possible. Use protection if you don't wish to be pregnant. Be well - be careful!

Very common error: Almost everyone - both genders - all ages - think bloating/gas is part of pms. Perhaps it is time to add it into the definition since usage is an important part of meaning. But, till they do - pms is only the emotional components - moody, irritable, etc. The physical features are there and can be the biggest complaint, but without emotional symptoms - you don't (officially) have pms. Feel better?

However, your weight may fluctuate in response to hormone cycles which may be explained by fluid retention aka edema. Birth control pills can be used to treat/prevent PMS.

Try some diet changes like cut down on some foods like milk  and dairy products,Beans,Some vegetables, such as cabbage, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, broccoli, potatoes, and corn,Some whole grains, such as wheat,Artificial sweeteners.Soda and other fizzy drinks,Chewing gum.
Consult a physician for discussing treatment of PMS.
