Yes: If you have surgical reconstruction of your ACL and repair of your meniscus (if able), your chances to return to your prior level of activity (basketball) is very high (upwards of 90%).

Depends upon healing: If the meniscus is repaired, it may take 6-12 months for complete healing.   Once healed, you can resume sports.

Wrong grading system: Meniscal tears are not graded in this fashion.  There must be some misunderstanding.  Meniscal tears can be medial or lateral or both.  They have a specific shape or type of tearing.  They can be repairable or non-repairable.  If the meniscus has been fixed or repaired, usually regular activities can be resumed after healing.

Yes eventually: If you are currently being treated for a meniscus tear, it would be wise to avoid soccer for the time being until you have completed treatment.  In the long run, once you have healed, you should be able to return to soccer, but just keep in mind that every year we get older, our bodies become a little more susceptible to injuries. Not ideal: Braces do not provide protection at physiologic loads. It might help with walking, but not at heavy loads such as rugby. I recommend you hold off until you are pain free with full range of motion. 4 days is a bit too soon for a grade 2 mcl sprain. Could take up to a month.

i got an arthroscopic repair of a lateral bucket handle meniscus tear almost four weeks ago. i feel clicking when i bend my knee to 90 degrees and its not on a platform or its not gravity bending the knee. pain is rare. is this a sign of failure?

Unlikely: If your symptom is just clicking, it's unlikely to be a failure of your surgery. You should really get in touch with your orthopedic surgeon if you have any concerns. It's not urgent, but that is what you paid him/her  for.

: Most corrective surgeries are done for symptoms which are unacceptable. You don't seem to be having those. So there is no urgency if total knee is advised. also you can get a second opinion and have the doc explain the reason for the proposed treatment. Good luck

: Person with vertical meniscus tear feels comfortable when the knee is slightly bent. Complete straightening is difficult and painful. 
Pain can be felt on pressure through the joint line in front. Swelling of joint. Bucket handle tear is a vertical tear through the outer part of the meniscus and  attachment remains intact. Locked knee is the added symptom. Hope it helps.

Possibly: Tennis is certainly a likely method for getting a meniscus tear. Typically a twisting or squatting knee motion is more likely to cause a meniscus tear. The other way to get meniscus tears is in situations where the knee is already unstable such as after an acl tear.
