Either a headache: or a placental tear can be dangerous but serious consequences are rare if you have proper prenatal care and go to a hospital that has greater than a level one nursery and in-house obstetrics and anesthesia.

No connection: The bottom line is that there are no actual studies linking TUMS or calcium consumption to placental calcifications. Many midwifes, Bradley instructors, etc will say that TUMS causes them, but on the other side, most OB Dr's say they don't. If you are still concerned, and want to avoid TUMS, try taking a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar diluted into an 8oz glass of water

Small area of abruption may not be a big deal. the health and progression of the pregnancy depends on may factors including the underlying reason for abruption

True Cushing's: Is due to either a pituitary or adrenal problem that will not disappear after pregnancy. It needs to be evaluated and treated by your medical staff.

Possibily: There are many different causes for placental calcifications so it's possible that you could have diabetes or hypertension or other medical complications that could cause that, or something that was localized to tha pregnancy and will not recur.

Yes: High blood pressure, whether present before pregnancy or whether it develops during pregnancy, does increase a woman's risk for abruption. But most women with high blood pressure never have an abruption.
