my 3 year old has thrown up a lot of pink vomit 2 nights in a row. hasn't eaten much but no fever or other symptoms. should i be concerned?

NEED TO BE CHECKED: 3 years old vomiting and loss of appetite needs to be checked from pediatrician to find the cause.Meanwhile make sure he drinks fluids as he is ot eating to prevent dehydration.

Allergies: Allergy to pollen usually cause sneezing,itchy eyes,occasionally asthma, but nausea and vomiting aren't common. Drinking flat ginger ale helps settle nausea and,if needed,taking Dramamine may help allergic reactions as it reduces nausea very effectively.

Vomiting: This one-time episode of vomiting may be due to simple indigestion. I assume pregnancy, medication or pregnancy are not issues. Pink vomitus can be caused by strain resulting in a broken tiny blood vessel. See your physician if vomiting continues or there is Frank bloody vomitus ,black stools or concomitant abdominal pain or distension

Cry it out: Probably food.  Try to start putting him down for naps by himself. Day time is often easier for parents. Nighttime institute a routine: bath, bedclothes, brush, books, bed. Sit with him while he falls asleep, gradually move yourself (over nights in a row) out the door and around the door (so he can't see you). Pretty soon he just thinks you are around the corner and sleeps by himself.

Yes and yes: Vomiting can cause tears in the esophagus and more complications, as if bulimia alone was not bad enough. Please seek counseling for the condition.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

my roommate is vomiting a pink, chunky thickened liquid. she hasn't eaten in 12 hours because of the nausea. what could be causing it?

See below: It is more important that you assist your room mate in hydration. Give him/her any liquids the person may tolerate, could be ginger ale, flat soda, gatorade, pedialyte or water. What caused it would be a long list, including hangover, viral infection and food poisoning.

Sounds severe: You have multiple problems that may relate or 2 separate problems going on at the same time. Both are severe and need immediate medical attention. Cough, fever, chest pain with foamy pink mucus is concerning for pneumonia. Uncontrollable diarrhea is bad requiring medical attention to prevent dehydration. Suffering those without help is the worst thing you would want to do.

Any of them: In vomitus, active brisk bleeding may look like a unit of transfused blood. If this is what you're seeing, call 911 immediately.Old blood may look like coffee-grounds, and be dark-colored. Oozing, small volume bleeds may be diluted by other stomach contents and may look like streaks, clots, or pink-tinged material. Any of these descriptions deserves urgent evaluation--bleeding is never "normal.".
