Probably viral rash: Any associated symptoms, e.g., fussiness, fever, diarrhea or loose stools, or cough?  Similar rash over the trunk or extremities?  As long as infant remains active and playful, i would watch next few days.

A Spotting Suspect: Menstrual flow can vary from cycle to cycle and it is not uncommon for there to be some residual flow, especially if oral contraceptives are being used.  If the estrogen level is too low in the contraceptive, spotting can occur anytime during use.  If the brand of contraceptive was recently changed, this can also occur as not all manufacturers produce their products the same way.

Pretty common: You describe a pretty typical viral illness in children.  They are sick for a while, have some fever, then the rash pops out.  Just encourage fluids, Tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever and any general misery.  It sounds though like she is recovering.  Take her to doctor if she worsens.

Need more info : Its hard to say much without more history and physical exam. If he recently had chicken pox vaccine, this could be a mild reaction, which often does not have that classic chicken pox vesicular look.  Has she had any exposures? Recent fever?  Travel?  Immunization status?  Daycare? We might be able to help in a Prime visit with detailed photos.

Dermatitis: This sounds like "dermatitis" or skin irritation - the question is why.  Is it possible you are rubbing your legs together when you sleep?  Another possibility is irritation caused by your linens.
