Dermatitis: This sounds like "dermatitis" or skin irritation - the question is why. Is it possible you are rubbing your legs together when you sleep? Another possibility is irritation caused by your linens.

How big r the spots.: In the supine position as you are telling you ae obese, potential areas of venous congestion with poor drainage can cause these spots, which will disappear once you up and active. But if they are persisting, get them checked by your PCP to r/o things like candidiasis , a fungal infection in obese individual where there is too much friction from opposing surfaces, small capillary hemorrhagic spots.
