Rash in a child: Good that the fevers have stopped. That is something important to watch. Often, a rash may appear as the immune system recognizes the problem (the virus) and destroys it, creating a temporary rash. The appearance of the rash can tell a lot about the type of infection- such as measles, chicken pox, etc. Hopefully your child has been immunized properly. If doubts about her health, go to the doctor.

: It is not likely to be the only symptom. Application of a calamine antihistamine lotion is often effective. If the rash spreads or is associated with breathing difficulty, shortness of breath, wheezing, runny nose, please see your physician right away. These are some of the signs of an allergic reaction. Monitor temperature and breathing.
