pink  only if it itches then allergy
red  may be a small hemorrhage

Nope: all conjunctivitis are self- limited and will go away regardless of treatment (sexually transmitted pinkeye is the exception). also, most pink eye is viral- no treatment available anyway. unless you have a lot of greenish discharge, just keep it clean and it'll go away like in a week or so.

Moist compresses help soothe or treat all causes, but must be careful not to spread to the other eye.
