last night i got a bump in the corner of my mouth. today its puss filled like a whitehead. ive never had a bump on my lip before, could it be herpes or would i have other symptoms..the bump appeared pretty quick, i felt my lip burning then it came.

If you are older, it could possibly be a skin cancer. The possible diagnoses are related to your age, other skin conditions, and whether you have touched or picked the area. Use warm compresses, some Cortaid (hydrocortisone) cream, or a md.

Enlarging pimple: It may have been a small pimple initially, but sometimes squeezing them can cause more pain, swelling , and create a worsening localized infection . You need to see a doctor and get it checked. You may need antibiotics,. Unfortunately, it is becoming more common for people to get MRSA - methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus- infections which are more serious and resistant to most antibiotics

Tricky: dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them. Can be quite a lot of things like a freckle, or a small infection, a crease, popped blood vessel. Most of these are minor problems.

Cold sores are usually more flat and shallow, moist looking and sting quite a bit. Either way, touch it up with a little Neosporin and avoid sharing kisses with anyone until it heals. See your MD to confirm the diagnosis.

If it is a baby, it may be an epstein's pearl ( a harmless cystic bump). It could be a burn after eating hot stuff, or may have bitten the area accidentally.
