Spot fat loss does : not occur naturally. By losing weight in general  some will probably be love handle fat.  But, we don't get to choose what area of body fat is lost from. Eat healthy &amp; be physically active. Calories burned must &gt; those consumed.

Diet & exercise: Make sure you exercise 90 minutes a day, don't skip meals, avoid soda, juice, dairy, alcohol and fried foods. Eat a healthy well balanced diet! also water, organic vegetable broth, green leafy vegetables, natural pickles, apples are great to fill you up so you dont feel hungry and they are very low in calories.

so i go through periods where i want and try, to lose weight. eventually i get to a point of noticable gains, feel really good about my progress, but then i feel guilty because i blame myself for letting global body image standards impact my view of myself.

i'm right around 250-255lbs, and i'd love to get down to the 200 i was in college. but i don't want to admit that my body is somehow lacking if i don't get down to that weight.

Weight mental health: You also need to consider non-mental health effects of weighing too much. One of the best ways to live a long time is to have a BMI &lt;25.  Go to one of the heart attack risk calculators and enter your info and then do it again to see if losing wt is worth it to you for living longer.  There are no calculators that enable one to enter body image anxiety as risk factor.  Discuss with your health team

Exercise: Start on either aerobic and anaerobic exercise to reduce body fat and build muscle. Do this under the care of a physician who will also guide your diet.

NO: Food has much more things that your body needs than can be put into vitamin pills.  This is why they are call supplements.  They cannot replace - only add to your food.

Not helpful: Since that medication is over the counter, who knows what's in it.  There is no nonprescription weight loss pill that has been shown to be effective in scientific trials.  They are also not evaluated by the fda.  Could they be harmful?  Sure.  More importantly, they won't be helpful.  The only thing that will lose weight is your wallet.

The old fashioned: way (:  But would keep you pace slow &amp; steady regarding weight loss. Eat healthfully. Try to eat at least 5 servings of vegetables &amp; 4 of fruit per day. Increase nutritional fiber.  Avoid refined sugar &amp; junk carbohydrates.  Avoid alcohol, sweetened juices, soda &amp; caffeinated beverages.  Aim for 7.5 to 8 hrs of sleep / night. Hydrate w at least 64 oz of water / day. Calories burned must &gt; calories

Depends: When trying to lose weight, the hungry sensation can be improved with appetite suppressants, drinking water (0.5oz /pound you weigh), eating protein, eating frequently small meals every 3 hours, and you trying to understand whether you are really hungry or eating for emotional reasons.  Come up with 10 things to do when you get hungry that does not involve food or drinking (except water).
