Diltiazem cream: Anal fissure often causes spasm of the internal anal sphincter with painful stools.  The spasm leads to external (and internal hemorrhoids).  Many get relief of the spasm and pain with topical calcium channel blocker creams such as Diltiazem or nifedipine.  Low concentration Nitroglycerin cream is also effective but about 10% of patients get headaches.  Also need to keep the stool soft.

H2O/metamucil: They are generally the result of straining during  bowel movements and/or hard bowel movements. The lack of a good fiber source in our diet as well as dehydration are often the root of the problem . Keeping better hydrated as well as increasing fruits and vegetables in our diet can really help.An excellent fiber supplement such metamucil can also help. Avoid stool softeners in excess.

Eggs are fine: Eggs are easily digestible and will not adversely affect piles or fissures. What you want are foods that keep stool soft yet formed, and you want daily evacuations. Best foods: high fiber cereals, oatmeal, apple, pear, celery, prune. Avoid banana; avoid fatty meats.

Vaseline is safe.: One can also use hydrocortisone.

Not sure what ur ask: I'm not sure what u mean. Do u mean ingest it, do an enema, apply on outside, apply before bowel movement? The key is to avoid constipation. Lots of fiber and water is really the key.

You need: To soak in a warm tub of water for 15-20 minutes, drink plenty of alcohol free/caffeine free fluids, 80-100 ounces and make an appointment with a colon and rectal surgeon.

See doctor: It is most likely from hemorrhoids, but it is best to see your doctor to make sure. In the mean time drink plenty of water and eat a high fiber diet to keep stools soft.
