H2O/metamucil: They are generally the result of straining during bowel movements and/or hard bowel movements. The lack of a good fiber source in our diet as well as dehydration are often the root of the problem . Keeping better hydrated as well as increasing fruits and vegetables in our diet can really help.An excellent fiber supplement such metamucil can also help. Avoid stool softeners in excess.
