Your therapist, if they're not licensed to prescribe should have an existing relationship with a physician; however, a consultant will be comfortable prescribing: sleep aids, conservative muscle relaxants, anxiolytics, etc.  Long-term habituation is an issue requiring constant monitoring

The : The yoga is a step in the right direction.  A regular exercise program of some sort that agrees with your lifestyle can be very helpful--walking every day, bicycling, or perhaps an aerobics class.  If you are not pet-averse, you might consider getting a dog as the love is unconditional and you'll be forced into regular walks with company.  You'll also meet people walking their dogs.  There are animals available through the rescue services if you don't want the hassle of a puppy training.
