Dust avoid : Dust exposure at night may relieve symptoms.
Cover mattress and pillow with an additional cover, keep area clean and dust free. Try an over the counter antihistamine and please see your physician.

It could be many: Things . To mention few , postnasal drip , upper respiratory infection . If the symptom gets worse and become persistent , see your doc. If it is easing up and getting better , probably it is nothing and self limited

Allergies: Most likely nasal allergy followed by mouth breathing followed by a cough possibly productive of mucoid material.
Try allergy meds and a vaporizer at night.

Depends: Generally, a chronic cough is defined as one lasting more than 8 weeks.  The most common causes include post nasal drainage, reflux, and asthma.  Depending on the cause, the treatment is different.   For example for asthma, inhaled corticosteroids are the mainstay.  It's best to see your doctor for testing to determine cause.  Your smoking status is also important.

See doctor: Any cough lasting more than 2 weeks needs evaluation. Two years is too long to wait. You ought to see a doctor, preferably a pulmonoligst, for examination. If is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you and may be conducting imaging and laboratory studies. To be blunt, tuberculosis needs to be excluded.

i was diagnosed with acute bronchitis on my left side in december 2017. i still have a persistent cough, discomfort and pain mostly my armpit, ribs and and just under my left collarbone and recently saw blood in my phlegm, do i still have bronchitis?

Acute bronchitis: In my experience, acute bronchitis is mostly a bilateral bacterial infection  and when physical findings only show abnormalities on one side of the chest months later I think of bronchiectasis or other lung pathology. What are your chest xray findings?  I'm quite concerned about your symptoms which include hemoptysis. I strongly recommend that you consult a pulmonologist for evaluation and treatme
