Not Recommended: Your natural teeth are slightly mobile (due to periodontal ligament cushion) but an implant is not mobile in the bone.  Connecting a fixed bridge to both mobile and non-mobile abutments can cause issues.  Best bet is to try to place an implant where the pontic will be. The fixed bridge is rigid and movement of the natural tooth can cause undue stress on the implant resulting in premature failure.

Accepted Answer

Root canal: This can be done. It is more challenging than doing it without the crown/bridge on but the cost of cutting the bridge off to do the root canal isuch great than doing the root canal through the abutment tooth on the bridge.  You just have to accept the risks of porcelain fracture and loosening of the bridge when it is drilled through...these are risks, but it can be done successfully.

It depends: It depends upon why one is temporarily cementing in the bridge and the dentist&#x27;s philosophy.  I general do not temporarily cement in bridges,i If they look and fit great, and I show them to the patient prior to the cementation.  I rarely have any issues, even over decades of use.  If there is any question, I cement them in temporarily for a week or so.  A month is not a problem.

See a dentist ASAP: See the dentist who placed the bridge asap.  Could be your bite or an abcessed/infected tooth or gum tissue.  Don't delay!

It : It is not clear exactly what was done to tooth #11 to make cause it to be cut in half.  Usually you can drill through the crown to do a root canal, and in the case of tooth #11 the access point is on the inside aspect of the tooth away from visualization.  Too little information to make a comment about other options.  Sorry.

Several reason : Some discomfort is normal. If i did surgery on your hands you would feel the effects of this surgery for several weeks. In dentistry we do surgery on teeth with burs not scalpels. If the discomfort is increasing in intensity or duration the nerve inside  your tooth may not be able to repair itself after the surgery. In particular sensitivity to hot should be discussed with ur dentist  quickly.

Good solution: A fixed permanent bridge replacing 1 missing tooth anchored to healthy teeth on each side is a good solution and requires good maintenance and hygiene to last several years. Check with your dentist to discuss all options based on your overall oral health to determine the best solution for your individual needs.

Unfortunate: Unfortunate circumstance. How do you know that the tooth has to be extracted without seeing the dentist. I assume you saw another dentist. Ask the dentist for options. Ask if part or all of the bridge can be salvaged by dental implants. Consider another opinion.

Accepted Answer

Future removal: The occlusion may need to be adjusted. If major adjustments need to be made the bridge can be removed and sent back to the dental lab to polish and glaze the porcelain again before permanent cementation. Also one of the abutments may need a root canal in the near future. If yes, then the rct can be done by removing the bridge. This prevents having to cut a hole into one of the abutments. Ask.
