have not gotten period but on ultrasound one week earlier there were two large cysts present with a few very small follicles. ivf doctor asked me to come back on the 1st day of my period to look at the count. could it be possible that im pregnant?

: If you had unprotected sexual intercourse and you have missed a period, then pregnancy is a possibility. You can do a home pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant. Yes, it's possible: You have had a period that is shorter and lighter than usual, lasting only a day. It is possible that this spotting or light bleeding could be from implantation of the embryo. The home test you are using may not be sensitive enough to verify a pregnancy at this early date. I suggest you see a gynecologist to follow up and to have a blood pregnancy test.

Depo shot: I would make sure to make an appointment with your practitioner.  2 years of not having a menstrual cycle calls for some testing. The first year after injection may prove from some breakthrough irregular bleeding or no menses at all. Two years is a bit longer than expected to have this.   Is that they only hormonal contraception that you have used since then?  Make sure to get checked.

Sort of.....: When a girl first gets her period, her body is often not ready yet to give us a normal monthly period.  It can take a year or more to really regulate before we get a text book "period."  Most of the time we just need to be patient, but sometimes, especially if there is prolonged and heavy bleeding, medication is used to prevent excess blood loss.  It sounds like you should visit your doctor.

Irregular periods and spotting could mean you may have some hormonal imbalance that could be affected by many different factors, including age (if approaching menopause?), nutrition, illness, exercise (or lack of it), body girth, psychological well-being, stress, season, or simple fluctuations of other related hormones (thyroid for example).
