May re do pregnancy : Test.  If you are 4-5 days past the date for your period, you should do a home pregnancy test; use first morning urine and follow the instructions carefully. If you miss two periods and pregnancy test remains negative, you should see your doctor.

Trust the test : Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

May be normal: If these types of symptoms resolve with menstruation, it is related to normal homonal changes that occur during the menstrual cycle.  If the period does not arrive, it would be prudent to be checked for pregnancy.

Check HPT: If you don't normally have a history of late periods or irregular cycles and have had unprotected sex in the last month, it's possible your sore breasts and late period are due to early pregnancy. Take a home pregnancy test to rule this out and if negative you may consider having your doc look at your breasts to rule out a skin or nipple infection as cause of itching. Good luck!

Multiple possibiliti: Need clinical follow up with possible ultrasound imaging and laboratory and or hormonal evaluation.

Get a blood test: If the home pregnancy test is negative 1 week after due date it's unlikely, but not impossible, that you are pregnant.....provided the test is done correctly. To be certain arrange for a blood test for pregnancy.

See your Gyn doc: Not normal to skip period more than 2-3 months at a time...You good be pregnant and your tests false negatives so you need bloodwork done and also you could have thyroid or other endocrinology problems so you need fasting glucose, thyroid screen, prolactin, and fsh levels...Good luck.

Not likely.: If you checked a urine pregnancy test appropriately and it is negative, you should be very comfortable with that diagnosis (i.e. No pregnancy). If you still have concerns, talk to your gynecologist without delay.
