Not likely.: If you checked a urine pregnancy test appropriately and it is negative, you should be very comfortable with that diagnosis (i.e. No pregnancy). If you still have concerns, talk to your gynecologist without delay.

Possibly: A pregnancy test should be able to detect HCG at 17 days after missed period. However, I agree with repeating the test using a first morning void.
