Gum growth: Can be a number of things. Most probably a salivery gland issue. You should see an oral surgeon for an evaluation.

Bumps: It takes a physical exam to  be able to see, feel and take appropriate X-ray to give you an accurate diagnosis.  See a dentist ASAP for this.

Inflammation: If it has been a long time since you had your teeth cleaned, there may be tartar and calculus below your gumline.  This can cause the gums in the area to swell. Other possibilities are food stuck below the gumline or even an abscessed tooth that needs to be treated.  Whichever it is, your best bet is to schedule a visit to your dentist and have it properly diagnosed and treated.

i have power chains on my 2 front teeth and they closed rapidly and pushed the gum back and caused a lump of gum behind my teeth, will it go away ?

Most likely: Your body will most likely take care of the extra tissue.  It's most likely swollen from being pinched between the teeth.  If it doesn't resolve on its own a very simple procedure to remove the painful tissue can be performed by a laser trained dentist.  Take some ibuprofen if it is painful and give it a week or so to resolve.  Hope this helps!

Can't say: It is hard to diagnose it without additional examination or X-rays. This could be due either to dental caries, a severe gum infection, a cyst or other reasons. You really should go to see your dentist, it is time!

Cosmetic Dentistry: Moving your teeth with braces can happen very fast and it sounds most likely the excess gum tissue that was there before is now more or less pinched.  With proper cleaning this may reduce on its own.  If it doesn't, your dentists or hygienist can use some laser therapy to return that tissue to optimum health!

No: Tori are hard and the gum tissue is firmly attached, kind of like the skin on the front of your shin. There shouldn't be any loose tissue that can move around if it is a tori. Just have it checked out.

Tincture of Time: This will heal on its own.  Take OTC analgesic (Ibuprofen best) exactly as directed on the package if you need pain relief.  Can dab Orabase-B onto sore spots.  Next time let coffee cool down a bit.
