Here are some ...: Either age of 17 or 47, a pea-sized testicle could result from congenital (related with undescended testicle with orchiopexy), post-mumps orchitis since childhood, inadvertent severing testicular artery during inguinal hernia repair or varicocele correction, etc. So, a detailed Hx may help track down the cause for severely shrunk testis.

Testicular atrophy: May have had testis torsion before birth or in infancy if always very small. Could be result of later torsion if testes used to be same size. U would have had an episode of severe testicular pain &amp; swelling which lasted for a few days &amp; resulted in demise of your testicle. Should see a urologist if this was the case because other testis may be at risk &amp; require simple procedure to secure

U may have cysts: (which are benign)underneath the skin of ur scrotum and not internally, in your testicles. The normal scrotal ultrasound is reassuring. Follow up with ur urologist for any concern. Take care!

PEA SIZED LUMP: Most likely an epididymal head cyst but the covering of the testis itself can have cystic masses on it called tunica albuginia cysts. Get them checked.

Testicle growth: Any testicular growth must be evaluated by a urologist.  Testicular cancer is a curable disease if found early.  Many growths in the scrotum are not cancer, but checking is prudent.

: I would recommend that you see your doctor for a face-to-face examination of this lump to make sure that no further testing is needed. Young men with this type of finding are at higher risk for serious diseases of the testicle.

Testicular Lumps: Given your age you must be seen to have this lump examined. Testicular cancer strikes males ages 26 to 33.  One cannot just dismiss this symptom for someone your age.

If it is in the tubing it very well may just be a scar. But, until the ultra sound we cannot be sure.
