Accepted Answer

Risk is VERY low!: Any breast lump can be benign or cancerous.  Important things are:  has it grown, changed, gotten harder, deformed, dimpled the skin, made the skin over it red or swollen, or become associated with lumps in your armpit?  At age 28, the chance of a lump being cancer is about 1/10,000 -- which is NOT zero. 

Please see a breast specialist for an exam, and likely an ultrasound. Good luck to you!

Please clarify: The presence of a lump in the breast associated with axillary (armpit) lymph node enlargement is worrisome for breast cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes.  However, lumps don't develop in the breast due to enlarged lymph nodes.

can a breast lump removal cause lymph nodes along neck to swell?

HIghly unlikely: If done with sterile precautions.  However, the armpit lymph nodes connect to those along the sub clavicle vein nodes and then into the neck.  If the lump was cancer, you will need to have sentinel nodes checked, and if these neck nodes do not subside, they too need biopsy.

small (smaller than pea) smooth, round breast lump upper left breast. tender to touch. had appointment with nurse who said she wasnt too worried and that i should wait and see if it goes away after 3 weeks. im 25 and scared it is breast cancer?

Accepted Answer

: Breast Cancer is very rare in women under 30 years of age. So it is unlikely to be the case with you especially because the size the lump you have felt is too small to take it seriously. I would suggest that you watch this lump for some months and check its size once per month. Unless it grows in size to 1cm, it is not likely to be breast cancer.
Benign lumps like a fibroadenoma is more likely.

a few weeks ago i had a pea size lymph node in my left armpit. since then the lymph node has completely gone away. but now i get random pain in my left breast where the lymph node was. could this be a sign of breast cancer?

there's a fixed ping pong ball sized tumor in left breast for 5 yrs. also a hard fixed painless lymph node in my left armpit. a smelly lump under right armpit a few weeks ago. my left lymph node also turned painful 2 days ago. what does this mean?

: A lump in the breast requires examination by a physician and a mammogram. Based on the mammographic findings a biopsy of the lump is often required to make a proper diagnosis. The only time biopsy may not be needed is if the lump is due to a fibroadenoma which is a benign tumor in young females.
In your case we need to check you for possible breast Cancer which may have spread to the axillary node

side boob fat on both sides causes throbbing pain off and on. no lumps or redness. gyno says possibly hormonal but actual breasts are not painful. could fat accumulation and pain be from a lymph node issue? the pain started a few months ago?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If the doctor who examined you was not able to ascertain the cause it is not feasible to do that in this forum. If you are overweight, it may help to lose weight.  Getting a second opinion by in person visit would be appropriate.

Arm fat pain: There are no lymph nodes in the area you described. Very unusual symptoms but not really concerning for anything serious. Pay attention to when you get the pain (time of day, related to exercise or exertion, time of month) and record it to see if there is a pattern.

i have 2 lumps in breasts one in right one and one in left(upper side at the same spot)got an ultrasound and puncture of the left one and it came as fibrocyste, they said that one on right is a lymph node but i can feel it all the time,is that normal?

: I would put most credence in this only if a breast surgeon was satisfied with this conclusion after looking at the studies and examining you.

was rather obsessively checking my breasts & armpits for lumps - now i can feel what i think is a small lymph node. could i have caused it to enlarge?

Accepted Answer

Unlikely: Do not check it more often than once in two weeks. If it doubles in size or other lymph nodes get larger, see doctor. 
For good health - If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. 
Practice safe sex.
