Combo: Depending on the dose &amp; reasons why all med's. were stopped, &amp; also how long you were taking them. Those factors determine whether withdrawal symptoms would occur. I recommend gradual tapering.

every day i take 75 mg of effexor (venlafaxine) rx, 40 mg of paxil and 900 mg of seroquel. is this safe? i go thru  withdrawal within 12  hours without seroquel.

Probably: Seroquel dosage range is 50-800/day--it & Paxil (paroxetine) frequently cause wt gain but don't see any major problems.

Split them up: Both Paxil (paroxetine) and seroquel are sedating, take them at night and take Lamictal in the morning. It's best to talk to your psychiatrist if sedation is an issue.

i take these: valsartan(320 mg), amlodipine(10 mg), seroquel(100 mg), concerta(54 mg), depakote(500 mg), paxil(40mg), bupropion(300mg), and nexium (esomeprazole) (40 mg). can this combo cause severe low bp?  help.

It's possible.: Valsartan and amlodipine are the most potent BP lowering medications on the list.  One can assess the combined effects by obtaining an automatic BP machine and checking ones BP sitting and standing daily.

i have an anxiety disorder. ive tried zoloft, prozac, venlafaxine, cipralex, quetiapine. now i use paxil. all these medications make me sleepy during the day and cause troubles with concentration and memory. are there any other options?

A few good choices: Lexapro tends to have fewer side effect than other ssri meds, buspar which also works by increasing serotonin, and is often pretty easy to tolerate . Wellbutrin might be worth trying and is often easy to tolerate. Optimize your diet , lots of leafy greens, avoid inflammatory foods -dairy, grains and sugar

Don't take together: You may not feel very good. You don't need to take both from the point of view of helping with depression, as they work in a very similar way on serotonin.Taking them together could cause unpleasant symptoms of jitteriness and anxiety called "serotonin syndrome".

Why?: I'm wondering why you'd want to take 2 drugs in the same class?  Depending on the doses of each, it could result in serotonin syndrome.  I recommend against this.

Yes.: There is always  a caution to this combination. Both medications lower blood pressure and they also cause sedation. Discuss your concerns with your doctor who have knowledge of your other medical conditions and other medications.
