for detection of a pathogen in the urine and getting a urine sample test done, how much can that range in price without an insurance?

It's done at the lab: At a doctor's office, a culture to identify a pathogen is rarely done (that's done at the lab). A basic urinalysis is done at the doctor's office, and can be about $25 (but the office visit costs even more). Most labs have a "cash price list" and don't mind sharing it (just call or walk in and ask). One guess is $25 for the urinalysis and $50 for the culture, but that's just a guess.

UTI: It suggests that the symptoms (which you have not described) may not be related to urinary tract infection, although one can have UTI with negative cultures. Need more info.

Bacterial culture: and sensitivity testing takes a minimum of 24-24 hrs for bacteria to grow out.

If you started your: Bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) you should finish the entire course.  Culture results are not helpful, but if your symptoms are improving, you should not worry.  If symptoms persist despite completing the Bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) consult with your doctor again.

just got lab results back for urine test and my test came back with no pathogen but found leukocytes in my urine. does this mean i have no infection?

A few leukocytes OK: It depends on 1) your clinical symptoms -which have to be correlated with the lab findings and 2) how many leukocytes (WBCs) there were. Most labs allow up to 5 WBCs per field when looking at the urine under a microscope. Sometimes other things can cause WBCs to be there such as medications, kidney diseases that are not infections, or kidney/bladder stones. Hope that helps!

No: If common bacteria and STDs have been ruled out then your chronic prostatitis is a matter of irritation that is common in young sexually active men and things should  settle down later on. No need to worry too much at this time.

Irritation, fullness: Urinary urgency occurs whenever there is irritation of the bladder or the urethra (that drains the bladder), or if the bladder is spastic, either because of muscular spasm, full bladder that may not empty completely, or nervous damage.  The most common cause in a woman your age is urinary tract infection, while in older women they may simply have bladder spasms.  See your doctor for a urine test
