Stuck! Ouch!: If dislocated, the condyle ("ball") has slipped beyond the eminence ("socket") and gotten stuck on the front side so that the teeth can't meet.  Don't push it! instead, place both thumbs under the chin, grab the lower teeth with the fingers on both sides and rotate the  jaw by pulling up on the chin while pushing down on the teeth. The jaw should slip back into place. If not, call the dentist.
