Pilonidal cyst: The  most likely cause is a pilonidal cyst. Patients with crohns can have perinatal asbscess but this is less common. If you have fevers, chills then you must seek attention quicker. Warm tub baths help. If they enlarge and get worse, they can be incised. Avoid shaving in that area too

The lymph nodes "taste" the lymph to see if anything bad is there like bacteria, viruses, cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system by enlarging in response. Prolonged enlargement should be biopsied. They shrink if no problem.

If this node is not stony hard, fixed to underlying tissue, and increases in size it may need to be biopsied sometime in the future. See your pcp.
