what is simple paratubal cyst?

Ask Ob-Gyn for info.: A para-ovarian cyst, also sometimes known as a para-tubal cyst is a type of adnexal cyst that does not develop from the ovary.  They are usually thin-walled and smoothly marginated (smooth edges). The majority of them appear as unilocular "simple" cysts on ultrasound. Most patients are asymptomatic, although patients with large cysts can have pelvic pain symptoms.

5 cm paratubal cyst is causing radiating pain pain. dr doesn't seem to think its an emergency situation. why does this happen?

Laparoscopy: with ovarian cysts there is always a good chance that they resolve on their own and it may make sense to buy some time with pain medication. I don't see this happen with a paratubal cyst. A laparoscopy would help to sort things out: ovarian cyst versus paratubal cyst versus hydrosalpinx.

i have suggestive paratubal cyst measuring of 1.82x1.54 cm is it serious or not, can i still have a chance to get pregnant even if i have this?

Probably not but...: That's actually a very small cyst.  If it's truly a paratubal cyst then nothing to worry about.  I would suggest that you have a hysterosalpingogram (HSG or tube test) done.  Sometimes a damaged tube can look like a paratubal cyst.  Damaged fallopian tubes would require consultation with an infertility specialist to go over your options.

Paratubal cyst: Paratubal cyst occur randomly.  I don't think you can do anything to prevent them.  Most are of no consequence.  Best of luck.

Wait for the results: Any tissue removed in a surgical procedure should be sent to a pathologist for evaluation. Your doctor did not send it because s/he thinks there is any reason to be concerned, but because the right thing to do.

Need to examine: A simple paratubal cyst would not cause the symptoms you described. You should seek evaluation by a gynecologist to rule out poly-cystic ovary disorder.

WHat did your doc sa: Depends on what type of cyst it is, how big it is, whether it is sus for cancer or precancer does it look like it has consumed the entire ovary, i would have all your ?S answerd to your satisfaction before surg- that is what i always do with my pts so speak with your doc again before surgery!

Out of stock: Hi, make your pharmacy call their sister pharmacy and get it for you, always order your med 4-7 days in advance to give the pharmacy enough time to get it for you on time. Ask your doctor if it's ok to skip 4 days.
