Control: If you take the proper doses of the appropriate antihypertensive medications,Your blood pressure should be controlled. In addition to taking beta blocker medications which also treat hypertension,it's important to abstain from caffeine and alcohol and minimize stress and anxiety in order to control palpitations. Your physician who knows your case the best is most qualified to advise and treat you.

could yawning a lot in the am when i'm walking for exercise be a sign of vocal cord dsyfunction? i feel like i can't get enough air.

No: Vocal cord dysfunction tends to mimic exercise induced asthma. Difficulty  breathing along with a sound called stridor(sound of air being passed through a tight tube).  If a doctor listens to your lungs there will be no wheezing.  Anxiety over having difficulty breathing seems to make worse. Treatment is based on making correct diagnosis, biofeedback  assistance from speech therapist. See ENT doc.

Don't panic: Firstly no test is perfect. Secondly  it isn't really high ....You should discuss with the dr. Who did the test or see an allergist or pulmonary dr   vocal cord dysfunction may not be related.

VC implant: Assume you are asking about laryngoplasty either by injection or Type I with silastic prosthesis.. Injection procedure can performed in office setting with or without sedation. Type I procedure performed in OR usually with patient sedated but able to follow voice commands. Procedures generally safe. Transoral route for injection requires good topical anesthesia, good visualization.

Neck pain: Sounds like an inflammatory reaction of one of the cervical roots; also a pinched nerve in the side of pain also may cause it. Try some Motrin for a few days. If symptoms continue and/or weakness, tingling, numbness appear on the affected side in the arm, fingers- see doctor asap.

Pain: An inflamed vocal fold is almost always caused by a virus following an upper respiratory infection, such as a sore throat, cough or nasal drainage.  Usually both vocal folds are inflamed and that usually produces hoarseness and certainly pain can be present.  The pain would be located behind the thyroid cartilage (adam's apple).  A diagnosis is necessary by an ENT doctor.

Hoarseness: Vocal fold (chord) dysfunction is a non=specific term that simply means your true vocal folds are not vibrating or moving in a normal fashion resulting in hoarseness or a rough quality to the voice.  
Depending on the duration of this disorder or if you are a smoker, you need to see a laryngologist (ent doctor) to make a more specific diagnosis and render treatment.
