my son has had a temp between 38.9 and 37.5 for the last 2 days. he has a cough and running noise. panadal very 4 hrs. what can i do for his temp?

It is fever!: . If the child is acting normal you can watch and re check the temp. Fever reducer  meds helps to relieve the symptom but does not do anything to the underlying problem. Fever reducer  does not affect the immune system but i would  give the correct dose occasionally for short term fever or pain relief.Sounds like you child has common cold and the fever can last for 3 to 5 days.

No: If you have pain and abnormal hida study you may require cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal).

Below the ribs: A normal liver usually sits under the rib cage on the right side. When enlarged one can feel the edge of the liver as dull and tender below the right sided rib cage.

Not likely: Depends on size of button, and if it ends up blocking something, in which case you would be swelling, and abdominal pain - most will pass thru the colon and out of the system if they are smaller.

Can Be: A ruptured esophagus is a very serious condition, albeit rare. It can be fatal. One possible cause is it can occur after severe wretching (vomiting).

Usually seen as a-: -result of PFT's &amp; it means after all the tests are done, it means you have 70% lung function compared 2 what is expected 4 Ur age, weight &amp; height. Causes can be smoking, second hand smoke or some other cause such as asthma.
